Parameters

value String: Input string.
spacingCharacter Char: Character value to use to insert as single white space value.

Returns value with all duplicate white space removed.

Usage Note

In Visual Basic and C#, you can call this method as an instance method on any object of type String. When you use instance method syntax to call this method, omit the first parameter. For more information, see Extension Methods (Visual Basic) or Extension Methods (C# Programming Guide).

Remarks

This function allows you to specify spacing character (e.g., you may want to use a non-breaking space: Convert.ToChar(160)).
